|The Malaysian Football national team U13 (two teams, Malaysia 1 and Malaysia 2) came to Germany with our MCB ex-member Mr. Lim Kim Teong who is a soccer player and also responsible for the "National Football Development Project" in Malaysia. This project was under the patronage of the Ministry of Sports in Malaysia headed by Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.
On May 29th the Malaysian teams participated in an international football competition in Münsing with teams from FC Augsburg, Wacker Innsbruck, TSV Murnau, SV Übersee, SV Münsing and other regional teams.
The Bavarian Football Association and the football club SV Münsing-Ammerland (www.sv-muensing.de) wre the organisers for this tournament.
The Malaysia Club Bayern was present with a booth selling Malaysian traditional kuih muih and promoting both the club and Malaysia. There were other food stalls with German and Italian food such as Leberkäs, BBQ, coffee & cake, pizza... As for entertainment, a group of German brass band kept the atmosphere lively.
Both Malaysian football teams (in blue on these photos), Malaysia 1 and Malaysia 2, played very well, winning a number of matches and ending up at places Nr 3 and 4 in the tournament.
